Why limit lending to books and magazines?

The possibilities are endless....

Curated with our community in mind, the Library of Things is a collection of loanable, non-traditional library materials that can be borrowed with a regular library card.
“The goal of the Library of Things is to promote learning, meet community needs, ignite curiosity, and connect our community,” - Director Kristine Wright

how it works

What does it take to borrow from the Library of Things? Just a library card and a signed waiver. No fees or annual subscriptions.

Most items are available for a one-week loan period, with the option of two renewals if there are no holds on the item.

LOT Lending Policy
Outlines the collection development guidelines as well as the rules for borrowing an item
Waiver and Indemnification Form
Form that needs to be signed by a borrower to reserve or loan an item
Waiver and Indemnification Form - Junior Version
Form that parents/guardians need to sign to give children permission to borrow an item

how it happened

We want to say a huge "thank you" to the Jasper Newton Foundation. None of this would be possible without their continued support and dedication to our community. The Jasper Newton Foundation awarded the Brook Public Library with a $1,500.00 grant to help kick start the Library of Things.
